Pianist Dylan Walter to Perform at Eric Carle Museum Summer Series
The pianist performs as part of the museum's Thursday evening summer series featuring local musicians and community activities.
The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art will host pianist Dylan Walter as part of its Sunset Thursdays series on Thursday, July 30 from 4 to 8 p.m. The performance is free with museum admission and complimentary for members.
Sunset Thursdays is a summer program that keeps the museum open late on Thursday evenings to feature live outdoor music, art activities, and community gatherings. The Northampton Jazz Festival curates the musical lineup of local performers. Events take place in Bobbie's Meadow within the museum's 100-year-old orchard and move indoors to the Jazz Café if weather requires.
Walter is a freelance musician, composer, and arranger from Shutesbury who plays multiple instruments. The series runs every Thursday evening through August 27 and includes hands-on art activities, storytimes, and food vendors. Visitors are welcome to bring blankets or lawn chairs, and outside food is permitted.
The museum is located at 125 West Bay Road in Amherst. A full calendar of events is available on the museum's website.
