Northampton Post 28 wins third consecutive game
The Legion baseball team improved to 8-5 with strong pitching and timely hitting.
NORTHAMPTON — Northampton Post 28 extended its winning streak to three games with a 7-1 victory over East Springfield Post 420 at Central High School on Wednesday night.
The win improved the Legion baseball team's record to 8-5 overall. The dominant performance was anchored by pitcher James Lavallee, who threw six innings while giving up just one run and three hits while striking out six batters.
Carter Styspeck and Harry LaFlamme each drove in two runs for Northampton, and Andrew Gagne contributed two hits. Matt Vassallo closed out the game by pitching the final inning.
