Amherst to Hold Flu and COVID Vaccine Clinic October 22
The clinic will offer updated 2026-2027 flu and COVID vaccines for residents six months and older.
The Amherst Public Health Department will offer flu and COVID-19 vaccinations on Thursday, October 22 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the Bangs Community Center (70 Boltwood Walk). The clinic is open to all Massachusetts residents ages 6 months and older and is being organized with the Northampton Department of Health and Human Services through a regional Public Health Excellence grant.
Registration is highly recommended due to limited walk-in availability. Those seeking to sign up can register online or call 413-259-3077 for assistance.
Both Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines and flu vaccines will be available, with regular-dose and high-dose flu options offered. The 2026-2027 flu vaccine protects against three seasonal influenza strains and is recommended for everyone six months and older. The updated COVID-19 vaccine is also available for individuals in that age group.
Vaccines are free. Attendees should bring an insurance card if they have one, but no one will be turned away without insurance. For questions or help signing up, contact the Amherst Public Health Department at 413-259-3077 or publichealth@amherstma.gov.
